Rockin’ Out with Nonprofit Tech Superstars – #11NTC
I am excited to be heading out to the NTEN Nonprofit Technology Conference next week from March 17 – 19 (although my experience starts on March 16) in Washington, DC.
NTC is a crossroads of nonprofit genius, a mecca for do-gooders in technology and communications. My experience at last year’s event was inspiring and I cannot wait to pack my bags!
This year I’m lucky enough to present during two workshops:
- We Are Media Sessions: Blogging co-presented with Leandra Ganko Thursday, March 17 at 8:00 – 11:00 am & Noon – 3:00 pm – Have you been thinking about setting up a blog? Now’s your chance to do it with some help so you get off to a great start. In this session, we’ll talk different options for layout and strategy to creating a blog that is attractive and shares your message.
- Beginner Social Media – Where do I start? (11NTCSMStart) co-presented with Kate Bladow Friday, March 16 at 7:30 am – Have you heard people talking about Facebook, Twitter, or other social media tools, and made a mental note to figure out how to get your organization started? If so, this is a session you’ll want to attend. We’ll start at the beginning by explaining basic concepts and demonstrating tools, and then will talk about small ways that organizations can get started with social media.
I’ve also been accepted to be a member of the 11NTC Storytelling Team. On Wednesday evening the assignment begins with at 2-hour workshop and then all conference long I’ll be practicing my modern bard (sans singing I’m sure). I’m really excited to flex my writing and photography muscles through this unique opportunity. Do you have something you’d like to experience from afar? Email me with an assignment!
Along with all the learning and enriching experiences, I’m looking forward to spending time with some of my favorite people. These are seriously my crew. I can’t wait to assimilate!
